March-April 2009 – Fellowship (Hawthornden International Retreat for Writers)
January 2010 – Johnny Mackintosh and the Spirit of London longlisted (one of sixteen) for the New Horizons Book Award
September 2010 – Johnny Mackintosh and the Spirit of London shortlisted (one of six) for the Concorde Book Award. (This will be voted on by young readers over the coming months, with the winner being announced in March 2011.) The full list of shortlisted titles is:
