Hot Courses Magazine

If you want to improve at something, it’s important to practise and also to learn new techniques and ideas. Writing’s a solitary business most of the time, so taking a course is a good way to combine improving your prose with meeting other people interested in similar things to yourself. Here’s a piece for Hot Courses Magazine, from back in December 2007. At this time, Quercus had signed Johnny Mackintosh and the Spirit of London but wanted to call it Johnny Mackintosh and the FTL Gherkin instead, which is why the article talks about that. Whatever your interests, or if you want to begin a new one, there’s a comprehensive list of courses to take at the Hot Courses website.
